Training Based Play Groups

Social Studies Daycare

Our small group socialization (we call it Social Studies!) is structured and guided by our highly trained team to make sure we keep every one happy and safe. We focus on maintaining and improving dog-to-dog social skills while keeping a fun, yet calm, environment. Dogs are matched by size and temperament.

A Unique Approach to Daycare

Group Socialization

Our Social Studies daycare program is a unique approach to group daycare. Dog Parks and some daycares with large groups of rowdy, pushy dogs can be over-stimulating and dangerous and can actually end up encouraging or allowing some behaviors that are undesirable at home.

For this reason, we have structured our program to focus on small groups led by our trainers and highly-trained staff, so the dogs get to run and play, while we help them learn how to respond to cues from the other dogs and be responsive to us.

We work hard to create a fun, yet calm environment where all dogs feel safe and respected. Dogs are matched by size and temperament.

An entry assessment day is required before participating in Social Studies and your rate is based on how calm, polite and responsive your dog is with us and with other dogs. We pride ourselves in the assistance and guidance we give to dogs who might fail out of other daycares because they are too hyper, too pushy or too overwhelmed. Because these dogs do require more time and guidance, their daily rate is higher. Social Studies is not appropriate for any dogs with aggression issues directed at people or dogs.

Social Studies Daycare is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
